Groove Buddy is designed to create music visualizations without collecting your personal information.

Information we collect

Groove Buddy does not collect personal data. The app does not require an account and contains no advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking.

Microphone access

With your permission, Groove Buddy uses the microphone to measure the loudness of sound around your device and drive the visualization. This processing happens on your device. Groove Buddy does not transmit microphone audio, use it to identify songs or speech, or make it available to us or other parties.

You can deny or revoke microphone access in your device settings. The app's Demo audio source works without microphone permission.

Storage and network access

Groove Buddy has no user accounts or cloud service, and it does not upload your settings or microphone input. Your visualizer choices apply within the app and are not sent to us.

If you use your operating system's AirPlay or screen-casting features, that connection is provided and controlled by Apple, Google, or your device manufacturer. Their privacy practices may apply to that service.

Children's privacy

Groove Buddy does not knowingly collect personal information from children or anyone else.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. The latest version and its effective date will remain available on this page.
